There are around 10-12 rapids of grades II & grades III ( Grade 10 being the most risky) Generally rafting at Kolad is considered safe unless something unexpected happens like it happened with me. It’s a 12 km rafting distance which has to be covered.

Yes! Water is released from Tata power for power generation everyday. So the flow is same even in summers.

It’s better if you can swim. However I have done white water rafting before and not everyone was a swimmer. Same goes for snorkeling, you can do it by wearing a life vest but better if you know how to swim.
